ZD109A直流牵引电动机机座采用钢板焊接结构，通用ZD109电枢，主附极线圈，该电机主要用于东风4D内燃机车和改进型东风4B机车上

Frame of ZD109A D.C. Traction Motor is welded fabrication, armature  main pole coil and commutating pole coil are the same to ZD109. This type motor is mainly used in Dongfeng 4D diesel locomotive and Dongfeng 4B(Improved) diesel locomotive.
